How to use CodeShare

Paste or type your code, then pick the language (or press Auto to detect it) for instant syntax highlighting.
For C or C++, choose a compiler version and press Run code. Add standard input when needed. Use Fix with AI to improve selected code, or the whole editor when nothing is selected.
Press Share to get a link. By default anyone who opens it can edit with you, and changes appear for everyone within seconds.
Copy the code, download it with the right file extension, or switch the link to read-only when you just want people to look.

Is CodeShare free to use?

Yes. CodeShare on ToolsPilot is 100% free with no account, no watermark and no daily limits for everyday use.

Are my files private and secure?

Your code stays in your browser until you press Share or use Fix with AI. Sharing stores the snippet on our server; AI sends the selected code (or the whole editor when nothing is selected) to our AI provider. Shared snippets are deleted 30 days after the last edit. Never send passwords, API keys or other secrets.

Do I need to install any software?

No. CodeShare works online in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS — there is nothing to download or install.

Is CodeShare free and does it need an account?

It is completely free with no sign-up. Paste code, press Share, and send the link — whoever opens it can start reading or editing immediately without registering.

Can two people edit the same code at once?

Yes. A shared link is collaborative by default: the editor pulls in other people’s changes every couple of seconds while you are not typing, which is ideal for interviews, pair programming and teaching.

Which languages are supported?

Syntax highlighting covers 20+ languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, JSX, Python, Java, C, C++, C#, Go, Rust, PHP, Ruby, Swift, Kotlin, SQL, JSON, YAML, HTML, XML, CSS, Bash and Markdown.

Can I compile C and C++ here?

Yes. Select C or C++, choose a compiler version, optionally enter standard input, then press Run code. Compilation uses Wandbox’s sandbox and sends your source code and input to that service.

Can I stop other people editing my snippet?

Yes. In the Share dialog choose “Read-only” — everyone can still open and copy the code, but only the browser that created the link can change it.

Is it safe to paste private code?

Shared snippets are open to anyone with the link. AI assist sends code to our AI provider, and C/C++ compilation sends it to Wandbox. Do not use these features with passwords, API keys, or other secrets.
